Our Commitment to Ethical & Fair Adoptions
At Palvine Maltese Kingdom, we prioritize the health and lifelong well-being of our puppies above all else. Because raising home-raised, purebred puppies requires significant time, veterinary care, and planning, our Maltese breeder refund policy establishes clear expectations regarding deposits, payments, cancellations, and health-related returns.
By reserving a puppy or completing a purchase agreement with us, you acknowledge and accept the terms outlined below.
1. Adoption Deposits & Cancellations
Deposit Purpose: Placing a deposit secures your specific puppy or holds your spot on our priority waiting list for upcoming litters of Teacup Maltese Puppies or Standard Maltese Puppies.
Non-Refundable Nature: Adoption deposits are strictly non-refundable, as reserving a puppy takes them off the market and turns away other prospective adopting families.
Deposit Transferability: If an unforeseen circumstance arises and you are unable to take home your reserved puppy, your deposit is 100% transferable to a future litter within 12 months, provided you notify us at least 14 days prior to the scheduled pickup or shipping date.
2. Final Payment & Delivery Cancellation
Final Balances: Final payment balances must be settled in full prior to local pickup or scheduled departure via our Nationwide Flight Nanny Delivery service.
Travel Fees: Flight nanny bookings and USDA health certificate fees paid to third-party couriers or veterinarians are non-refundable once travel itineraries have been confirmed and ticketed.
3. Health-Related Returns & Guarantees
While cash refunds are generally not offered once a puppy has left our care, your investment is fully protected under our health terms:
Initial Vet Exam Clearance: Per our written 1-Year Health Guarantee, you must have your puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 business hours of delivery.
Congenital Defect Protection: In the rare event that a licensed veterinarian diagnoses a severe, life-threatening genetic defect during the 1-year guarantee period, we will provide a replacement puppy of equal value from our next available litter, as detailed in our signed Purchase Agreement.
Buyer Preference Returns: We do not issue cash refunds or accept returns based on buyer's remorse, lifestyle changes, allergies, or minor non-life-threatening conditions.
4. Lifetime Breeder Rehoming Commitment
We never want one of our puppies to end up in a shelter or rescue facility. If at any point during your dog's life you are no longer able to care for them, you agree to contact Palvine Maltese Kingdom. While refunds are not issued for surrendered pets, we will gladly assist in rehoming your dog into a vetted, loving environment.
